All Things Paul

Creative Portfolio

I’m an artist who works creatively with a blend
of steel, tile, and stone. Each piece begins
with the concept of blending these materials
with the setting or environment, while also
expanding and building upon previous
projects. My passion lies in sculpting these
materials with a vision that elicits an
emotional resonance.

@2025

My artwork is influenced both by wild
and domestic life, animals and the
inanimate and our changing

relationships with them. Of all the
inevitabilities life offers, “change” is the
most consistent constant I

can rely on. My concepts usually reflect
some element of change and release of
control, because I am only truly free
when I give up the illusion of control.

About Me

I find a fascination

with the mezclada of
nature with manmade

characteristics

and communicating the

contrast by integrating
their symbolism into one

  • statement.

Inspiration from nature

blended with the

manufactured &

human life

Central to my concepts and near and dear to my heart, is the idea of shaping whatever

media is abundant and

available. I believe strongly in the asbestos method, use what you have and get it done,

  • “as best as you can.”

Utilization of Natural
Resources

I want my art to meld into its environment and to feel like it belongs. I struggle to capture the integration of man interspersed into

  • wildly in nature and communicating his struggles with nature.

Artistic Vision: Living
Large and Bold

I strive to convey my love for the animal kingdom and the

fluid beauty of its integration with the environment. As in

the elegant stride of a running Greyhound illustrated here

in supernatural rock hopping pursuit of play. The

Greyhounds grace and fluidity exemplifies natures beauty

in the manner in which they run, an inspiration for much of

what I shape

By capturing the essence of these beings, I strive to create pieces that
resonate with viewers and evoke an emotional.

I've had a long career in the insurance industry in Encinitas, but I
recently made the decision to transition into a new chapter of my life
– one centered around my creative passion for art.

Now, I've moved to the beautiful town of Aguanga, where I can fully
immerse myself in the stunning natural views that serve as a constant
source of inspiration.

My Artistic Journey

  • Through my art, I
    strive to capture
    the essence of the
    animal kingdom,
    inviting viewers to
    connect with the
    beauty and
    wonder of the
    natural world.

Capturing the animal kingdom

  • This approach not
    only enhances the
    authenticity of my
    work but also
    reflects my
    commitment to
    sustainability and a
    deep respect for
    the natural world.

Authentic Respect for nature

  • By crafting works that
    are both visually
    striking and deeply
    meaningful, I hope to
    inspire others to
    engage with their
    surroundings in new
    and profound ways.

Crafting Engaging Visuals

I love that there are endless possibilities to explore,
express, and cultivate through art. Often, what starts as
one vision transforms into another, as the challenge of
conveying complexity with simplicity could easily fill the
rest of my days.

Da Behrs!

Through the interplay of texture, color, and structure, I
aim to evoke a dialogue between the viewer and my
work, inviting them to explore the stories embedded
within each piece of art.

{It doesn’t all have to be serious} as my (land) Yacht helplessly lists

in high surf, my navigators are drawn to conceptual inspiration,

steering my ship towards a lighthouse beacon of metaphorical

creativity on a dark foggy storm night.
